At just 7 years old, she began studying classical ballet, where her dedication and love for movement became evident. This passion fueled her desire to pursue dance professionally, and at the age of 17, Maria took a bold step by moving to New York City to train at the prestigious Alvin Ailey School. Immersing herself in the rich world of contemporary and classical dance, Maria honed her skills and built a strong foundation that would carry her into the professional dance industry.
Her career began on the off-Broadway stage, where she captivated audiences with her talent and stage presence. These performances marked the beginning of her journey as a professional dancer. While working as a showgirl, Maria’s curiosity and passion led her to explore the art of pole dancing. This exploration opened up a whole new world of creative expression for her. Her natural talent and adaptability quickly became apparent, and her commitment to mastering the craft deepened.
HEELS ARE HOTMaria’s journey with pole dancing brought her to Body & Pole, one of the world's most renowned pole and aerial dance studios. She began her journey there as part of their work-study program, committing herself to learning and immersing herself in the studio's vibrant and innovative community. Her hard work paid off within a year as she earned a spot on their esteemed teaching faculty. Over the years, Maria dedicated herself to teaching and inspiring others, sharing her expertise with students from diverse backgrounds.
Her reach extended far beyond the studio walls. Maria began creating and sharing pole dance content online, and her work quickly gained widespread attention. Her videos, which showcased her creativity, artistry, and skill, went viral, leading to the growth of a passionate and engaged online community. Her growing visibility in the pole dance world opened doors to exciting opportunities in the entertainment industry.
