Pole dancer and instructor Sergia began dancing and performing at a young age in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary and theatre. After receiving scholarships from the New York City Dance Alliance and Tremaine Dance Conventions, she was accepted into the Alvin Ailey School in New York City, where she studied the technique of Martha Graham and classical ballet extensively.

At seveteen, she began dancing professionally and choreographing for Interweave Dance Company in Boulder, Colorado, and remained an instructor for the next 5 years.
In 2007, Sergia focused on Salsa, Latin Hustle and partner dancing and began dancing in professional competitions in Theater Arts, Latin Hustle, Cabaret and Salsa in New York and around the world.
When she realized the incredible blend of power and artistry, she was captivated. It made her want to take on the challenge. She was inspired to use her dance background in a different way, and transferring it to the air was exciting new territory. She was determined to share this type of fitness with others. "After dancing for years, I needed Pole Fitness to help me stop worrying about what my body looked like and start appreciating what it was doing for me.
Sergia holds a BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, where she studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, the Experimental Theater Wing, and Musical Theater at Collaborative Arts Project 21.
Vertitude Santa Rosa was founded by Sergia Louise Anderson, the 2013 US National Pole Champion. After years of performing, competing, and teaching various styles of dance: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Salsa, and Latin Ballroom, she settled in Los Angeles where she fell in love with the art and sport of Pole Dance and its many styles and facets. In 2011, she founded the world-renowned training center, The Vertitude Los Angeles. Today, Sergia spends her time traveling the world teaching pole dancing and movement in Europe, Asia, and the US. She recently decided to put down roots in her hometown of Santa Rosa to open a second Vertitude location. She is passionate about bringing movement to EVERYBODY. Sergia is a certified Pilates and Yoga instructor through Tone: Pilates/Dance/Yoga, holds pole dance certifications from ElevatED and Crunch Fitness, a BFA in Theatre from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and is always looking to move, learn, explore and EXPANSION.
After winning the 2013 US National Pole Championships, Sergia began touring the world full time as a guest instructor sharing her speciality workshops with students in over 33 countries. She has a passion for connecting with her students and sharing the art of pole and dance no matter where she is at her home studio or on workshop tours.
In 2011, Sergia realized her dream by opening The Vertitude Dance Studio in Los Angeles and then moved on to open The Vertitude Santa Rosa in Northern California in 2017 where she works with her pole, dance, choreography, and fitness students.
