The Untold Struggle and Triumphs of Pride: A Call to Action and Celebration

As Pride Month unfolds, we take this moment to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, honoring the diversity, strength, and resilience that define it. This month serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance, while also being a vibrant celebration of love and identity.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of June 1969, a pivotal event that ignited the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. Today, Pride parades, rallies, and events worldwide continue to echo the calls for equality and justice, serving as both a celebration and a protest against ongoing discrimination. We extend a special acknowledgment to the sex workers within the LGBTQ+ community. Historically, sex workers, including transgender women of color, were at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots.
